Parents Nigel and Catherine Sanders took matters into their own hands after getting fed up of traipsing from shop to shop to buy the essentials for the imminent birth of Joe and Isobel. They set up their own online store. The Cheshire-based couple are now promoting the service to more new and expectant multiple birth parents. Phew, I'm exhausted just thinking about it - shopping for baby stuff, not setting up a business I mean.
Been there, done that and lain awake at night. Former sales supremo Nigel says: "We could never have predicted the creation of www.twins-store.co.uk but it has developed as a direct result of our own experiences. We found it really hard to find quality goods suitable for twins in one location and that's what we want to offer families." The canny couple have also organised a discount for people buying in bulk and Tamba members. And they have incorporated an 'advice share' for families using their online store, as well as putting together contacts for twins' clubs. It's obviously a labour of love - set up by parents for parents. I wish them every success. And just look at that gorgeous little brother and sister. Of course one of the best things about shopping online is nobody stops you to helpfully point out: "You've got your hands full." That sounds familiar. Good name for a blog, even. Oh hang on.
