PAMELA Adhiambo gave birth to a boy and girl at Kisumu Hospital and named them Barack and Michelle Obama. The twins joined several newborn Baracks, Michelles and Obamas, whose parents hoped to inspire them to reach great heights.

Yeah, but what happens if Barack Obama screws up? Then you're stuck with the name. That's the chance you take when naming your kid(s) after a celebrity.

Well yeah - but I think for many, the historical significance of what he has achieved is enough already!
I wonder how many examples there are of parents who named their babies after famous people who have had to have a re-think!
I am old enough to remember noticing that some people I knew of were calling their babies Kylie - they are grown women now!
