Sending love and prayers to Natasha Richardson's family

MUCH has already been written about what a fine actress Natasha Richardson was. The award-winning star wowed audiences with her powerful performances in acclaimed roles on stage and screen in the UK and US.

But in our house, her talent was much appreciated as part of our favourite film, Parent Trap.

I've wiped away tears many times as she glides down the staircase to scoop her little girl up in her arms, not realising that this twin daughter is one she hasn't clapped eyes on for more than 10 years.

Now that scene will take on an even greater poignancy as we reflect that this beloved mum to two boys and loving wife to Liam Neeson is no longer with us.

We're sending all our love and prayers to them at this most heartbreaking of times and hope that as time passes they can take comfort in the fact that Natasha's talent touched the lives of so many people they'll never know.

Twins for Charlie Sheen and Brooke Meuller

IN these days of weirder and weirder celebrity baby names, it's strangely reassuring to read that former hellraiser Charlie Sheen has named his newborn baby twins Bob and Max. The funky young reporter above reckons they sound like poker buddies!

The babies are said to be "doing well" despite arriving six weeks early and The Sun reports that the happy couple are over the moon to have decorated the nursery.

Sheen, 43, is now a father of five. He married Mueller, 31, in May 2008. The Two and a half Men star also has two daughters with former wife Denise Richards and a 23-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Community to hold fundraiser for Wisconsin triplets

MAKAYLA, Braden and Gracelyn Behnke were born Feb. 3, 2009, at 26 weeks in Neenah, Wisconsin. Their parents are Jennifer and Shane of Shawano. The babies are expected to be in the NICU until April or May.

The community is holding a fundraiser for the Behnkes on March 21, 2009, in Cecil. For more information, call The Lighthouse at 715-526-5600.
