This blog was set up in 2006 as a resource for parents of multiple birth children.
Then it moved on to include journalism, fiction, media requests and advice under the 'Write away' category as well as the odd bit of nonsense about my family and eating too much cake. Then it sort of stopped. But I still pop up here now and again when the fancy takes me.
Thanks for reading.

ACCORDING to this piece, twins loom large in this year's Eurovision once again, even if these sisters fell at the last hurdle before getting there.
The above video is of twin sisters Sophie and Magaly who charmed the Eurovison audience back in 1980 with Papa Pingouin, ending in a respectable 9th place, before going on to have a massive hit in their native France.
Sadly, it wasn't the route to a life of showbiz success and happiness for the singers - resulting instead in accusations of exploitation by their record label. Even more sadly, Magaly died 16 years later and her sister is now described as being a "recluse". Their story is told here.
Privyet devoshki! Please excuse my rubbish attempts at transcribing Russian into English, but it's a bit rusty these days. Anastasiya and Maria Tolmachevy (Анастасия и Мария Толмачевы) are stars in Russia who won the Junior Eurovision three years ago.
According to the Eurovision database, twins Helga Hatløy Osdal and Marie Hatløy Hagen wore black and red jackets and "presented a catchy song with a fair share of 'doobie dum dum day' in it" in 1996. It also says that this was the first time twins took part - which can't be true judging by the first video here, but never mind. There's no word on how they did. I'm guessing not well if the most noteworthy thing was their black and red jackets.
Lastly, according to this book, back in 1962, a duo called The Padre Twins were chosen as the Dutch entry before mysteriously pulling out. I hope they weren't nobbled by a dictator like poor old Cliff was.
Who have I missed, anyone? And who would know such a thing?
