Author's request: Primary school questions

EDUCATION writer Kim Thomas is working on a guide for parents whose children are starting or at primary school.

She has the following questions for parents and is interested in hearing from you if you would like to offer your views for consideration for use in the book:

1. How did you choose your child's school - what considerations did you take into account, what did you like about it when you first visited, did you have any reservations?

2. Did you get your first choice of school, and if not, what did you do about it?

3. What kinds of things is your child studying at school? Is your child is responding well to the curriculum?

4. How do you feel about the curriculum - is it too narrow, too broad, too easy, too hard, too different from when you were in school?

5. How do you feel about the way your child is assessed: do the teachers explain what the different marks mean, do they give good feedback on how your child is doing, is the school report comprehensible?

6. Anything else you feel strongly about that I haven't mentioned above!
