I'VE always said that if I could afford not to work, I would do two things.
One would be to write a novel.
The other would be to set up a blog as a voluntary project to try and help people who have suffered mental illness to tell their stories.
Yet talking about any of this has the potential to feel uncomfortable. People I don't know make judgments about me. I'm past caring. If anyone wants to judge me on being ill in the past, let them.
So here I am, no nearer working on a novel, but thanks to Judith's Room finding more confidence to head in that direction.
And I've set up the blog I wanted, along with a colleague from an organisation with whom I work as an adviser. I decided that if I felt that strongly, Why not just do it? What's the worst that could happen?
So the new site's called Breaking the Silence.
Hope to see you there sometime.
Cheers.

The site looks fabulous, Linda. The content is wonderful and I love the green header and three column layout! *giggle*

Great site Linda. I'm looking forward to having a proper read of it once baby daughter is asleep.
