Look at this beautiful guest blogger, much more appealing than the usual old bag.
FIRST of all can I say a big thank you to Linda for allowing such a novice to guest post on her 'proper, grown-up, been round the block a few times' blog. (Ed's note well you can but I should just like to point out Becky has been around it a lot more than me and she has the gusset to prove it.) I've been blogging since the beginning of this year under the name of Mummy Limited and am the home mum to a gorgeous 10-month-old boy.
I am currently trying to work out how to answer that age old question "So, what do you do?" as am about to finish my maternity leave and am not going back to work for a while. In fact, I'm resigning today, which obviously pales into insignificance against Guest Post Day!
I hope you enjoy my post and please be gentle with me:

Parents' Progress Report – 10 months
Apologies for the delay, but I have tried to file this report verbally, via the baby monitor, but all I can get out of it is 'Jack & Jill’.
The Mummy was supposed to guest blog for Linda at ‘Got Your Hands Full’, but wimped out.
Instead I will blog and update you on the progress of The Parents assigned to me for training.
Feeding: The Parents do not spoon feed me but simply dump the food on the table for me to help myself. Apparently it is called Baby-Led Weaning, but if it were really baby-led I would be allowed to eat nothing but Organix Maize Carrot sticks, which I am not.
It is an interesting way of introducing food and allows far more opportunity for me to avoid green things, as it is not mushed up with the good stuff. I can just drop it on the floor – I believe this is good practice for toddlerhood.
Entertainment:The Mummy should be commended for the amount and quality of entertainment she provides. She takes me swimming, to baby gym, to my friends and singing. I am a little concerned that after these activities she sits with the other Mummy people drinking hot stuff that I'm not allowed to grab and doing what I can only describe as babbling. Is this allowed? Please confirm, as I thought I was supposed to be centre of her attention at all times. I am also provided with lots of toys at home, including 2 fantastic furry interactive black and white creatures. They are the best fun, but do have spiky fingers that activate when I grab them. What is this all about?
Sleeping:You will be pleased to know that I am winning the sleep war. I keep explaining that sleep is for wimps, but they insist on trying to get me to do it. However, I still wake several times a night and am rewarded for this by getting to sleep next to The Parents, so clearly they don’t mind too much. Most of my baby colleagues have stopped waking up at night but I am still flying the flag for babykind. However, they do keep threatening to give me back to the circus if I don’t sleep. Are they allowed to do this?
Health & Safety: This is an area of development for The Parents. The house could do with being tidier and cleaner as there are far too many things I can pick up and play with that are frankly not child safe. Last week I managed to eat cold ash from the hearth. Also when I bump my head The Mummy picks me up and cuddles me and simply says “Oh you’re OK, it doesn’t hurt.” They also turn me upside down and The Daddy lets me sit on his shoulders. Whilst I enjoy these things I am sure it is against regulation 2785a and should not happen until I am a toddler.
Love & Affection: I get lots of cuddles and both The Parents spend lots of time making me laugh and talking to me, so generally I am very happy with their progress in this area. The Mummy has told me there is a Mummy Zone and whenever I enter it I get kissed, The Nana seems to have one also. I have checked my board book, handbook from cover to cover and cannot find any mention of The Mummy Zone. Please confirm if she is making this up as if so I will have to put a stop to it Overall I am happy for you to leave me with my allocated Parents, even though they have a lot to learn still, I feel I am up to the challenge of guiding them in the ways of babykind.
I will file my final Parents Progress Report at the end of their first year before you transfer my file to Toddler Planet.

Thanks again to Mummylimited for this, please do give her a warm welcome. Mini Mick looks so gorgeous he has achieved the impossible and made me a tiny bit broody again. By the sound of him he's also going to be a hit with the laydees - as a sense of humour is a sure fire winner. Love it. xx

What a gorgeous post, loved it to bits. And should you be talking about gussets in front of babies, Linda?

Aww, a truly lovely post. If only we could have glimpse of what they were really thinking...

This takes me right back to when my boys were little. And yes how fascinating it would be to hear what they are saying to themselves...or would say to other people.

Brilliant post and such a cute photo. I think you both win in the best 'guest post cute photos' stakes. Eating cold ash can't be nice.

Thank you all your lovely comments, I will pass them on the the man himself.
He is too young to know what a gusset is so feel free to discuss in his prescence.
I have also just noticed evidence of my lax heath & safety policy on his forehead- how embarassing.
