FOUR years ago, almost exactly, my son O entered the world, a beautiful, happy, gorgeous little boy. No wonder then that my husband and I were keen to ‘crack on’ with number two. Fifteen months after his birth and a three month scan revealed identical twin girls were to join our family. To be completely honest, the first year of their life seemed to bring more lows than highs....exhaustion, loneliness, feelings of having no one to talk to who understood, frustration and generally of life being difficult. The phrase ‘popping out’ vanished, only to be replaced by ‘military operation’, or more commonly ‘failed operation’.
And having the twins has completely changed my life in the most unexpected way – they led to a very happy career change.
Raising three kids is expensive and whilst I enjoyed being a full time mum, financially, as well as for my sanity, I needed to work, so I dipped my toe into the world of freelance marketing and now find myself working from home alongside a number of like minded (and very lovely) mums who run their own businesses, around their children, catering for the mother, baby and toddler market.
So, it’s on this note that I want to end my post ; shamelessly plugging a client is who has just nominated Tamba as its charity of the year.
Throughout June and July, to celebrate Twins, Triplets and More Week, Morrck will donate £2 from every online sale to aid Tamba’s work supporting families with babies in neo natal care.
So, if you’re after a child’s beach wrap for your summer hol, or a Baby Hoodie log onto www.morrck.com to find out more.

Your post made me smile Sarah as becoming a mum and of twins also made me seek out a career partly involving freelance PR (though that part meant I was kicking and screaming!) and my first client was....Tamba. Thank you for rounding off our week of posts and what a gorgeous picture! x
