Media request: Have you challenged yourself?

We have had a request for help from Alison Palmer, who is writing a piece for Essentials magazine, about women who have challenged themselves - and regretted it, and is also after two mums and their teenage daughters, for a fun piece in the Daily Mirror's women's section.

Alison says: I am writing a piece for Essentials magazine and looking for some ladies aged 30-55 who stepped out of their comfort zone - and wished they hadn't! I am especially looking for women outside of London, and several in the north, if possible.

We would like a few lines from each woman under a head and shoulder photo she sends in. Her story needs to be amusing, not sad, and about how she pushed her boundaries and regretted it.

It could be running a marathon for the first time,hating it and being beaten by a human caterpillar, a drastic change of look, which you instantly regretted, trying skiing for the first time and getting stuck in the cable car through fright,or ditching your job to take on a new challenge, which you hated.

These are just suggestions - it could be anything that has taken you out of your comfort zone,and made you wish you hadn't. It should make other readers smile and think 'who needs a challenge anyway'!

I am also after two mums and their teen daughters to make over each other for the Mirror women's section.

If you'd be happy, or someone else who would be - to come to London to do that, we will sort out the travel, whilst you enjoy having your hair and make up done professionally.

The mum then picks her daughter's clothes and vice versa, before they then pick their own.

This is a lovely opportunity to do somethign fun together, and you will be able to have some of the professionally taken photos too.
